I’ve been seeing a lot of twitter threads, blog posts, and discussions online recently about working remote. Anecdotally at least, it feels like the frequency of these discussions is increasing. That increase may be related to the increase in the number of workers that are able to engage in part or full time remote work. In the US today, 43% of the workforce either is, or can, work remotely.

Why the departure from Tahoe Mountain Lab? Well, there are several reasons, but I will focus on those that are most important.

The original Tahoe Daily Tribune building was built in 1959. It was designed by Hans “Lutz” Aynedter, a German émigré and ski coach who also participated in the design of the Gunbarrel run at Heavenly Ski Resort.

As many of you know we’ve moved forward on purchasing a 12,000 square foot building to house both the Tahoe Daily Tribune staff and Tahoe Mountain Lab.  It’s been a long journey, which started almost two years ago.
